NEETcraft Initiative: Innovations for Empowering Youth with Disabilities

Kick-off meeting (Warsaw 4th April 2025)
WARSAW (POLAND) - 4th Arpil 2025

The NEVI-EVY project marked a significant milestone with its first face-to-face consortium meeting, held at the headquarters of the Aktywizacja Foundation in Warsaw (Poland). The gathering brought together researchers, activists, and representatives of partner institutions for a dynamic exchange of insights, strategies, and future goals.

The meeting provided an invaluable opportunity for participants to familiarise themselves with the scope of each institution’s contributions to the project. Brief yet impactful presentations sparked meaningful dialogue and paved the way for deeper collaboration and knowledge sharing among the partners.

Katarzyna Lipowska from the Institute for Structural Research (IBS) shared an analysis of the data collected to date, drawing key conclusions that will inform the project’s next phases. Meanwhile, the Aktywizacja Foundation presented its tested Job Crafting model—an innovative approach aimed at enhancing professional engagement for individuals with disabilities. Together with Slovenia’s CenterKontura, the foundation will adapt, test, and implement this model within the framework of the NEVI-EVY initiative.

The consortium also turned its focus to communication strategies, as Mariano Soler Porta of the European Rural Youth Observatory (EURYO) unveiled the project’s outreach plan, detailing the tools and methods designed to effectively engage target groups and stakeholders.

Concluding the meeting, partners finalised operational plans and coordinated upcoming activities. Participants expressed optimism about the collaborative momentum generated during the event.
