While 51.3% of people with disabilities are employed across the EU, only 43% in Poland have jobs. Among young adults, 51% are NEETs (Not in Employment, Education or Training)—the highest rate in Europe.

The study, based on surveys and interviews with over 2,000 participants, finds that:

  • Young people are motivated to work, eager to develop new skills, and often more satisfied with their income than older peers.

  • Mental health conditions significantly reduce job retention.

  • Rural youth face similar job conditions but report lower job satisfaction, despite valuing employment for independence and social inclusion.

The report underscores the vital role of Job Crafters—specialists who guide young people through the job market and help employers create inclusive environments.

“Job Crafters make the difference between job searching and job success,” the report notes, calling for expanded mentoring, tailored training, and employer support.
