This webinar will provide an in-depth exploration of the concept of personal assistance, focusing on its practical implementation and its crucial role in enabling the right to independent living for persons with disabilities. The session will also address current developments and challenges in establishing a legal framework for personal assistance in Poland, offering valuable insights into policy design and implementation.

The webinar will be delivered by Dr Magdalena Kocejko, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Policy at the Warsaw School of Economics. With over 15 years of experience in research and evaluation, Dr Kocejko is a recognised expert in disability policy analysis. Her work focuses on independent living, intersectional approaches in public policy, equal treatment, and human rights, with particular attention to the situation of women with disabilities.

Dr Kocejko has authored and co-authored numerous publications and reports and has collaborated extensively with NGOs and public institutions, contributing to the advancement of inclusive and evidence-based policies across Europe.

This webinar forms part of the NEVI-EVY project’s broader efforts to promote knowledge exchange and support the development of inclusive frameworks that enhance autonomy and participation for persons with disabilities.
