Fundacja Aktywizacja unveils Job Crafting model to help young people with disabilities enter the labour market
On 18 September 2025, Fundacja Aktywizacja hosted an online workshop, "How to Successfully Support Professional Inclusion of Young Persons with Disabilities Through the Job Crafting Model," presenting an initial, replicable model to help young people with disabilities enter and remain in the labour market. Experts Anna Gruszczyńska and Agnieszka Jaśkiewicz-Kłosowska outlined the Job Crafting Method and the five crafting zones, while the team unveiled a four‑stage model covering recruitment, pre‑employment support, employment support and job retention. Participants explored practical tools, worksheets and case studies, including a real‑world example showing pathways to remote employment for a young person with anxiety. Interactive sessions, a Kahoot quiz and split working groups produced recommendations that will feed into the model’s final version. 111 people enrolled, peak attendance reached 73 and 58 participants remained until the end, representing NGOs, CSOs, public employment services and project partners across the EU. The workshop was organised with the IBS - Institute for Structural Research, Centerkontura and the European Rural Youth Observatory, funded by the Social Innovation+ Initiative and co‑funded by the European Union. After this workshop, we have published the Questionnaire "Defining the readiness of a young person with disabilities to start cooperation with the job crafter". This tool helps to evaluate whether young people with disabilities are prepared to take part in the job crafting process.
