Policy Brief: Young persons with disabilities on the EU labour market<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\r\n

JUNE 2026.- The NEVI-EVY Policy Brief \u201cYoung persons with disabilities on the EU labour market\u201d<\/em> analyses the situation of young persons with disabilities in the European Union, focusing on their participation in employment, education and training. Drawing on EU-LFS 2024 data and EU-SILC indicators, the brief highlights persistent inequalities in labour market access, working conditions, educational attainment and NEET status.<\/p>\r\n

The document shows that young persons with disabilities continue to face structural barriers that limit their employment opportunities, despite a strong willingness to participate in the labour market. It also identifies priority areas for policy action, including education retention, access to tertiary and STEM education, vocational guidance, skills matching, targeted support for vulnerable sub-groups and the promotion of quality employment.<\/p>\r\n
